Easy patchwork cushion cover pattern

How to make an easy patchwork cushion

You will need…

• Twelve (12) assorted scraps (at least 3in square)
• Eight (8) assorted scraps (at least 5½in square)
• Border fabric: one (1) fat quarter
• Backing fabric: one (1) 15½in x 20½in piece
• Lining fabric: 19in x 24in
• Batting: 19in x 24in
• 18in zipper
• Cushion pad

Finished size

15in x 20in

Notes

• Seam allowances are ¼in, unless otherwise noted.
• RST = right sides together.

• Solids are from the Cirrus Solids collection by Cloud9 Fabrics.

Nicole Calver

Janome-expert Nicole is a busy quilt designer who is also known as Snips Snippets. Her quilt patterns are regularly featured in Love Patchwork & Quilting magazine and she also designs fabric for Riley Blake Designs. Her book, Playing with Patchwork & Sewing was released with C&T Publishing in 2020. Nicole’s signature style combines classic quilting techniques with modern prints and colour palettes. She started quilting after her son was born in 2010 and now quilts full time for a living. There a reason her beautiful quilts have gained a huge following – she creates modern quilt designs that use colour in clever ways to create patchwork that wows.
